“Suddenly all my ancestors are behind me. Be still, they say. Watch and listen. You are the result of the love of thousands.”  ― Linda Hogan”

★ THEME OF THE NIGHT ★

We all have ancestors. Some that we once knew and cared about, and some that we’ve never met. Some that we don’t have a good memory of and some that still visits us after they left.
No matter the relationship, the people that walked before us, carved the way for us to be able to walk our path today.
My life, your life, are a living testament to all that they were. All that they did to create the future we call the present.
Remembrance Cacao invite you to an evening devoted to a celebration of Life and Death. Both as parts of the same cycle and equally worthy to celebrate!
Around the world, in different traditions, end of October and early November has been and still is marked in various ways. Many of them stem from the same intention and belief – it is seen as a threshold, a time of potential transformation or a doorway between autumn and winter, dark and light, life and death.
The Day of the dead (Día de Muertos), Samhain – the Celtic New Year and Halloween, they all remind us that the death is vital in the cycles of life, teaching us to let go, but also to acknowledge and remember.

★ WHAT IS THE CACAO DANCE PARTY ? ★

The Cacao Dance Party concept emerged from a dream that we can party in a conscious way and have heart-opening and liberating experiences in an organic and integrative way.
We offer a space where you can come as you are, dress how you want, dance barefoot and wild, but also be still, meditate, have open, heartfelt conversations, bring your family, friends or make new ones!
The bar is closed, instead we serve delicious Ceremonial Cacao, known by the Mayans as a helper to open our hearts and to be present and more loving towards ourselves and the world around us.
We celebrate Life and the beauty of movement and come together in authentic and playful ways <3
We offer a ritual, where we drink the Cacao together to start off our experience, a guided meditation & connection exercises that leads into enticing soulful music and a dance floor for free dancing, where you are invited to dive deeper into your body, your emotions and if you want – play with the others on the dance floor

★ ABOUT THE DJ ★

Amidst the jungle floor and the ocean deep,
Curious creatures guide the way,
Wandering on winds, whispers of white,
A gentle love, fluctuating free…
The dragon breathes, the eagle soars,
The fish dance, the lion roars,
Playful instincts, shimmering bright,
Spirally, bubbling trickles of exploding light!

★ WHAT TO BRING ★

1. Loose-fitting/light clothes ( it is a warm venue ), if you want – a costume and/or face paint! Most important though is that you can move your body and free yourself.
2. Water and a water bottle. You can refill it at the venue.

★ WHAT TO AVOID ★

Any food, coffee, sweets, animal milk etc at least 2-3 hours before the ceremony. Fasting a whole day before a ceremonial dose is not necessary – and we don’t recommend it for first-timers as an empty system may accelerate assimilation and bring on bitter-related nausea. Normal or light eating a few hours beforehand is fine. Any allergies, pls contact us beforehand.

★ SHORT ABOUT THE CACAO ★

Theobroma Cacao translates from Latin to “Food of the Gods” and was valued very high during the pre-columbian times. It was used by the Mayans in ceremony to celebrate life, death and other festivities.
With this ancient plant medicine, Cacao, as an ally, we are gifted an opportunity to open up in a gentle way and to drop down from our heads – in to our bodies.
We will use delicious ceremonial cacao from Peru this event.
We are happy and honored to share the awareness around this sacred plant and to let you experience what real chocolate can taste and feel like…
– Theobromine, the active component in cacao, has a contraindication with anti-depressants – please let us know beforehand if you are taking any, or if you are pregnant, as we will need to adjust your dose accordingly.
